PLEASANTVILLE, NY - Pace Women's Lacrosse is one week away from their 2025 opening day and the International Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) released their Preseason Coaches' Poll Monday morning with the Blue and Gold sitting in second across all of Division II.
The Setters capped off their 2024 season with a 21-1 record, which set the program record for most wins and consecutive wins in a season, and sat undefeated in the Northeast-10 (NE10) at 11-0.
Pace returns key players of
Samantha Tanguay (IWLCA Second-Team All-American, First-Team All-NE10),
Maddie Schubert (Second-Team All-NE10),
Nikki Mottes (Second-Team All-NE10),
Mackenzie Carita (Third-Team NE10) and
Annie Sheehan (NE10 All-Rookie Team) while bringing in nine fresh faces to the program. Additionally, on Jan. 20, Tanguay was selected as a
USA Lacrosse Second Team Preseason All-American and Mottes and Schubert received an honorable mention.
Women's Lacrosse will begin their upcoming campaign on Thursday, Feb. 20, at Northwell Stadium when they host (RV) Roberts Wesleyan at 1:00pm.
