PLEASANTVILLE, NY – Pace Women's Basketball kicked off their weekend with a Northeast-10 (NE10) Conference match up with Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) in Pleasantville, NY Saturday afternoon.
Arianna Stockinger became the 30th women's basketball player to reach 1,000 career points when she recorded 14 points in the 76-56 victory over the Penmen. She is also the 16
th player in women's basketball history to have 1,000+ points and 500+ rebounds in her career.
Here's What Happened:
- During an eventful first half, the Penmen held the 12-10 advantage after the opening quarter, while the Setters were able to rally in the second to enter halftime leading 29-24.
- The second quarter action was led by Stockinger, Katumina Mansaray, and Morgan Ryan where Mansaray posted consecutive buckets to equalize the score at 17. SNHU edged the Blue and Gold after each host bucket, but when Stockinger went 2-2 from the free throw line, followed by a trey and another Mansaray marker, the Setters took the 24-23 lead. Ryan closed out the first half with back-to-back points for the five-point lead at the halfway point.
- Pace ignited the third quarter with a swift 6-0 run with points from Stockinger, Tower Lorde, and Ciara Collins, 35-24. Entering the final stanza, Stockinger tallied her career milestone from the charity stripe and the Setters featured a 56-38 lead.
- Collins gave the Setters their largest lead of the day of 27 points from behind the arc, 72-45, and the hosts ran away with the 76-56 victory.

- Stockinger finished with 14 points, good for second on the team, with two blocks and two steals.
- Ryan led the squad with 16 points, shooting 4-7 (57%) from behind the arc, and Collins went 50% (3-6) from three with 13 points.
