PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Pace University Baseball is gearing up for one of its signature annual traditions, as the program will host its Hot Stove Dinner on Saturday, January 31, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at
Tesoro D'Italia in Pleasantville, N.Y. The evening promises to bring together alumni, families, and supporters for a memorable night celebrating the past, present, and future of the Setters.
Guests will enjoy a full slate of festivities, including cocktail hour, dinner, and the program's annual recognition of the Class of 2026. The event will also spotlight a major milestone in program history, honoring the
2006 Setters, whose remarkable 34-win season remains the most successful in Pace Baseball history. This 20th anniversary tribute will revisit the accomplishments and impact of a team that left a lasting mark on
Peter X. Finnerty Field.
Adding to the excitement, the Setters will welcome
Darryl Strawberry as this year's featured speaker. One of the most dynamic talents of his generation, Strawberry built a 17-year Major League career highlighted by four World Series titles, eight All-Star selections, and the National League Rookie of the Year award.
His time with the Mets, Yankees, Dodgers, and Giants made him a household name, and his post-baseball journey as a bestselling author and inspirational speaker has resonated deeply with audiences across the country. Following the program, attendees will have the opportunity to meet Strawberry and receive an autograph of his newest book,
Another Life.
Tickets are priced at $150 per guest, with all proceeds supporting the continued growth and success of the Pace baseball program. A variety of sponsorship options are available for those looking to further contribute to the event and the team.
