NORTH ATTLEBORO, MA. – After a sensational offensive performance, Pace University Women's Soccer freshman
Meredith Klosek has been named both the Northeast 10 (NE10) Conference Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
It is the first conference weekly recognition of her career and marks one of the rare occasions a Setter has swept both awards in the same week.
Klosek was electric in the attacking third, scoring three goals across two matches to power Pace's successful week on the pitch. She opened with a standout performance in the Setters' record-breaking 10-0 victory over Staten Island, finding the back of the net once in each half and finishing with three shots on goal. The Edison, N.J. native continued her scoring form in Pace's 1-1 draw at Bentley, striking in the 37th minute to give the Setters the early lead.
For the week, Klosek totaled three goals on six shots, averaging 1.5 goals and 3.0 shots per match, while emerging as one of the conference's most efficient and dangerous young forwards.
Klosek's breakout week adds to the early-season momentum for the Setters, who continue to push forward in NE10 play with only one game remaining in the 2025 campaign.
