NORTH ATTLEBORO, MA. – Announced on Monday afternoon, freshman defender Milani Thompson has been recognized as the Northeast 10 Conference Rookie of the Week following multiple impressive performances for the Blue and Gold.

Thompson continued to shine on both sides of the ball for the Setters, playing all 180 minutes across two matches while contributing both defensively and offensively.

Thompson was a steady presence on the back line in a 2-1 battle against Molloy on Sept. 30, limiting opposing chances while also registering her first collegiate assist. She followed with another strong outing in a 4-2 NE10 victory over Saint Michael's on Oct. 4, scoring her first collegiate goal on her lone shot of the match while once again going the full 90 minutes.

For the week, Thompson totaled one goal, one assist, and two shots, while anchoring the defense for all 180 minutes. Her ability to create from the back and shut down opposing attackers made her a standout rookie and defensive leader for Pace.

Riding momentum from an outstanding victory over one of the top teams in the conference, the Setters now prepare for a road contest against No. 20 Mercy University, set for Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
