Setters Rewrite Record Book in Dominant Win Over Staten Island

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Setters put together a historic offensive showcase on Wednesday night, setting a new program record with 10 goals in a dominant 10–0 victory over the College of Staten Island at Northwell Stadium. The result lifts the record to 8–7 overall and 3–4 in Northeast-10 Conference play.

The double-digit outburst surpassed the previous program record of eight goals set on September 11, 2014, against Felician. Pace fired 46 total shots, including 28 on target, while controlling possession throughout the night.

The scoring started in the 16th minute when Allison Carr buried a cross from Kelly Dubois to open the floodgates. The tally pushed Carr into sole possession of third place all-time in total points (60), surpassing Kelly Fazio ('06) in the program record book. The Blue and Gold quickly piled on three more goals over the next 15 minutes, as Andrea Flores, Meredith Klosek, and Madison Pieloch each found the back of the net. Juliana Procopio capped the first half with a goal in the 43rd minute, sending the Setters into halftime up 5–0.

The onslaught continued after the break. Klosek netted her second goal of the match on a penalty kick in the 57th minute before assisting on Pieloch's second tally just two minutes later. Makenna Buist and Mia Ferreira closed the scoring late, with Ferreira striking twice in the final 10 minutes to secure the record-breaking 10th goal

Anna Fiore and Alexandra DaEira-Loccisano combined for the shutout.

The Setters return to Northwell Stadium on Saturday for Senior Day against Bentley University, as they wrap up the regular season in NE10 play.
