Dominant Second Half Propels Setters Past AIC

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – A dominant second-half performance lifted the Setters to a 4–1 win over American International on Saturday afternoon at Northwell Stadium. The result evens the record at 7–7 overall and 3–4 in Northeast-10 Conference play.

After conceding in the 24th minute, the Blue and Gold took control of the match and unleashed a relentless attack after halftime. Kelly Dubois started the rally in the 51st minute, finishing from close range off a feed from Madison Pieloch to level the score. Ten minutes later, Meredith Klosek netted the go-ahead goal, assisted again by Dubois, to give the hosts their first lead.

The momentum continued in the 77th minute when Andrea Flores converted a penalty kick to extend the advantage. Allison Carr sealed the victory in the 85th minute, slotting home a late strike from Dubois to cap the four-goal half. With that tally, Carr moved into a tie for third all-time in total points in program history, further cementing her place among the Setters' elite scorers.

In goal, Anna Fiore added another career milestone, surpassing 200 career saves while making three stops in the win. Pace outshot AIC 27–5 and held a 5–2 edge in corner kicks, with Dubois leading the offense with a goal and two assists.

The Setters return home to host the College of Staten Island on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
