MANCHESTER, N.H. – On the road Saturday afternoon, Pace women's basketball earned a 60-52 victory over Saint Anselm College.
Arianna Stockinger's 21 points led the way for the Blue and Gold as they improve to 8-8 on the year, and 4-4 in the Northeast-10.
Here's What Happened
- A defensive first half from both sides lead to a 24-20 advantage for Pace moving into halftime. 12 first-half points from Stockinger led all scorers in the contest as the Setters looked to pull away from their in-conference opponent in the second half.
- Back-to-back layups from Stockinger put the Blue and Gold ahead by six points, 30-24 halfway through the third. In the final seconds of the quarter, Morgan Ryan capitalized from downtown to give Pace a 40-33 lead moving into the final quarter.
- Opening the fourth quarter, a transition bucket from Tower Lorde extended Pace's lead to double-digits, 47-37. With time winding down, the Hawks managed to keep the game to a single-point deficit, 54-47, making four straight field goals against the Setters.
- Despite the late run from the home squad, Pace finished out strong netting six points in the final two minutes of play to earn their eighth win of the 2024-25 season, 60-52.
