MANCHESTER, N.H. – In their second game of the season Pace field hockey fell short on the road against Southern New Hampshire University, 2-3.
Here's What Happened
- Annemartine Christis was the first to find the back of the net 12 minutes into the contest, giving the Penmen a 1-0 advantage. The senior struck again for SNHU in the second period, leaving Pace with a two-goal deficit.
- The Setters responded four minutes later behind Anne Kopec's second goal of the season off an assist by Krista Dietz. After a scoreless third, the Setters moved into the final period trailing the Penmen 1-2.
- Just three minutes into the fourth period, SNHU tallied their third goal of the day off the stick of Minke van de Poll.
- With eight minutes remaining, Isabella Boertjes capitalized on a penalty stroke to cut the deficit to 2-3. Despite the goal, the Penmen held out the rest of the way as the Setters fell to 0-2 on the year with a 2-3 loss.
