PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – On their home court in Pleasantville, N.Y., Pace volleyball forced a fourth set against Bridgeport University but fell short 1-3. After the loss, the Setters move to 3-1 overall on the season.
Here's What Happened
- The Setters went the distance in the first set putting the pressure on the Purple Knights. Despite a late run from the Blue and Gold, the visitors took the first set, 26-24.
- After dropping set two, the Setters found success in the third. Tied at 16, a 6-0 run from Pace gave them a 21-16 advantage. The run fueled the Setters as they captured the third set win 25-18.
- In the fourth and final set, Pace kept stride with the opposition, finding themselves tied at 12 halfway through. The Purple Knights would answer with a 7-2 run to take control 19-13. Trailing by seven the Setters fought back to trim the deficit to four however, the Purple Knights closed the match with one final kill to wrap up the evening.
- The Blue and Gold move to 3-1 on the season with the loss to Bridgeport.
