Powell Earns First Team All-NE10, Alexander Honored with Second-Team and All-Defense

MANSFIELD, MA. – The dynamic duo of Bryan Powell and Tray Alexander of the Pace University men's basketball team earned spots on the All-Northeast 10, with Powell slotting in one the first team and Alexander earning a pair of placements, a spot on the second team and an all-defense nod.

Powell, who previously has been named first-team All-NE10 in the 2021-22 season and second team in the 2022-23 season, continues to cement himself as one of the top offensive threats in the history of Pace basketball. The graduate student led the Setters in scoring this season, averaging 18.4 points per game while scoring 533 this season. Powell posted double-figures in all but two games this season, including nine 20-point performances, one 30-point performance and a 40-point showing against Franklin Pierce in February, which earned him NE10 Player of the Week honors that week. Powell was also the team's leading rebounder, hauling in 5.2 boards per game.

Alexander found his role in the Setter's system immediately this year and established himself as a key piece, averaging 13.1 points per game, 4.6 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game. He is one of the top assist men in NCAA Division II, being top five in both total assists and assists-per-game. Against AIC earlier this year, he dished out 17 helpers which is the second most any player in DII has recorded in a single game this season. Alexander recorded five double-doubles with assists and the program's first triple double with an 18 point, 12 rebound, 10 assist performance in an overtime victory over Assumption University, which earned him both NE10 Player of the Week honors but also Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association Division II/III Player of the Week as well. As potent as he was on the offensive end, his defense was just as strong, averaging 2.1 steals per game.
