Pace Basketball Well Represented on CSC Academic All District List

GREENWOOD, IND. – Seven members of the Pace University basketball team's earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, the organization announced on Tuesday.

Representing the men are Bryan Powell, Jamaal Waters and Jaden Kealey while for the women are Katumina Mansaray, Ciara Collins, Shanice Sinclair and Victoria Dieguez.

Powell turned in another strong year for the Blue and Gold, being the team's leading scorer (18.4) and rebounder (5.2) in route to being a first-team All Northeast 10 selection, second team all region by D2CCA and second team all district by the NABC.

Waters joined the program this year and contributed 4.6 points and 4.3 rebounds a game while appearing in 28 of the Setters 29 games this year. He poured in a season high 18 points against Felician University while also contributing 16 against Adelphi and 13 points against American International College and Franklin Pierce University.

Kealey took on a larger role this year, appearing in all 29 games this year, averaging 5.9 points and 3.8 boards per contest. He poured in a career-high 23 points against Molloy to open the season. He added a double double against the University of New Haven, contributing 11 points and 11 rebounds to the winning effort.

Mansaray, who started in all 30 games for Pace while playing the second most minutes per game, Mansaray contributed 8.4 points and 4 rebounds per-game. Mansaray had her best scoring performance of the year in the Northeast 10 Quarterfinals against Assumption where she shot 50 percent from the field to go for 23 points while bringing down three rebounds. She scored in double figures on 11 different occasions.

Sinclair played in 27 games for the Blue and Gold while leading the team in minutes with 33.1 per-game. She averaged 8.8 points-per-game while shooting 41 percent from the field and bringing down 6.1 rebounds per-game. She produced a season-high 18 points against AIC while pulling down seven rebounds.

Collins appeared in all 30 games for Pace this year while averaging double figures with 10.3 points per game in 29.9 minutes per contest. Collins posted 25 points on 11-18 shooting from the field to go along with three rebounds and three assists against Southern New Hampshire University. Collins contributed 18 points on four different occasions, including double double against Adelphi University where she brought down 10 rebounds.

Rounding out the recognized Setters is Dieugez, who also appeared in all 30 games. She crossed the double figure mark against SNHU with 10 points and a season-high eight rebounds.
