PLEASANTVILLE, NY – Pace Women's Basketball hosted their final contest for the first half of the season versus Felician University in Goldstein Fitness Center Saturday afternoon.
The squad celebrated
World Basketball Day with a 18 point victory, 79-61, and four Setters tallied double-digit points in the win.
Here's What Happened:
- Pace started the game on a 9-2 run with points from Victoria Dieguez, Ciara Collins, and Katumina Mansaray. Collins's first two buckets of the game were featured from the long range and the Setters jumped out in front 12-5.
- Tower Lorde, who made her first appearance for the Blue and Gold this season, and Arianna Stockinger paced the team at the end of the opening quarter and the Setters led the Golden Falcons, 22-14.
- A sharp shooting second quarter propelled the Setters to a 23-point advantage, 47-24, and ultimately went into halftime up by 16, 47-31.
- Felician held the upper hand for the third quarter outscoring the Setters, 17-12, and slashed the Blue and Gold lead to 11, 59-48.
- By the final frame, the Setters replenished their offensive surge and tallied 20 points for the 79-61 victory and capped off the 2024 year with a 6-6 overall record.
Box Score Insights:
- Stockinger led the team with 21 points and Collins right behind with 17 while adding five assists and five rebounds.
- Lorde and Mansaray had 14 points apiece.
- The team shot 49% (28-57) from the field and 81% (17-21) from the charity stripe.
