BRIDGEPORT, CT. – On the road Wednesday evening, Pace women's basketball cruised past the University of Bridgeport by a final score of 68-48.
Arianna Stockinger's fourth 20-point performance of the season led the Setters to the out-of-conference win as they now sit at 5-6 overall, and remain 2-2 within the Northeast-10.
Here's What Happened
- After both sides remained equal, 13-13, after one-quarter of play the Setters gained control in the second. Led by a 12-5 run the Blue and Gold jumped ahead of the Purple Knights 28-21 moving into halftime.
- Coming out of the locker room, Bridgeport found momentum from the floor shrinking Pace's lead to one point, 33-32. Near the end of the third, the Setters answered In less than two minutes increasing their lead back to ten points, 42-32.
- With momentum on their side, Pace continued to showcase their dynamic offense in the fourth quarter. On 8-of-12 (66.6%) field goals in the final quarter the Setters managed to pull ahead to their largest lead of the season (21 points) over the Purple Knights.
- Closing out on a 9-4 run the Blue and Gold thrived in the final quarter to earn their fifth win of the season, 68-48, as one game remains in the month of December.
