CALDWELL, NJ – Pace women's basketball opened their 2024-25 campaign at the CACC/NE10 Conference Challenge, hosted by Caldwell University, late Friday afternoon.

Here's What Happened:
- Katumina Mansaray got the Setters started with the first blue and gold bucket of the season followed by Victoria Dieguez who went 1-2 from the charity stripe. - Ciara Mulleady, Mari Lee, and Dieguez kicked off the second quarter with points to put the squad within one, 25-24. As the Cougars maintained their rhythm, the game reached the halfway point with the Setters trailing 44-28.
- Pace battled through the third quarter and found themselves in a 14-point deficit, 47-34 but chipped away at the lead and ultimately slashed the Cougar advantage to 6, 57-51, after a Shanice Sinclair jumper.
- The first points of the final stanza for Pace came from a Mansaray layup, 61-54. With the Setters trailing by seven with eight minutes remaining, this would be the closest that the blue and gold would get to securing the victory. However, the squad dropped 78-64.
