WALTHAM, MA - Pace Volleyball's regular season is at its final few contests and the Setters were on the road Saturday afternoon to play Bentley University in Waltham, MA.
The Setters were toppled through three sets (8-25 / 12-25 / 18-25) with
Abby Robertson leading the blue and gold in the Northeast-10 (NE10) Conference match-up.
Here's What Happened:
- In set one, Pace took advantage of three Falcon errors to trail the hosts 3-4, but soon after Bentley tallied 11 unanswered points until Yasmeen Muhammad put an end to the rally with a kill. By the end of the first set, the Setters went down 0-1 with the score favoring Bentley.
- To open the second set, the Setters attempted to battle back with kills from Jaiden Binning and Robertson. With another Falcon rally, the Setters were forced into a deficit that they could not surpass for the second set loss, 12-25.
- Pace took advantage of another Falcon error for the first point of the third set. Guiding the blue and gold through the possible final frame were Robertson, Muhammad, Karielys Melendez, and Jala Drayton kills and an Annika Blas-Cendo service ace. Despite the positive push of the Setters, the Falcons closed out the third set victorious, 18-25, for the 0-3 Setter defeat.
Box Score Insights:
- Robertson led the charge with seven kills while Melendez had six and Muhammad three.
- Lexi Zammit tallied seven assists in the day and Blas-Cedeno posted the lone service ace for the squad.
- On the defensive end, Muhammad recorded two blocks and Robertson and Daniella Abbastante had one apiece.

Women's Volleyball (10-8 / 4-3 NE10) will host their senior day celebrations prior to the commencement of the NE10 contest with Assumption University at 12:00pm in Goldstein Fitness Center.
