SPRINGFIELD, MA. – At American International College, Pace volleyball concluded the 2024 regular season on Saturday evening. Matched up against the top team in the conference the Blue and Gold fell in three sets to finish their season with an 11-10 overall record and a 5-5 record in the Northeast-10.

Here's What Happened

• The opening set leaned towards the home team early as AIC jumped out to a 5-1 lead. The Yellow Jackets took advantage of two separate 4-0 runs to snag the first-set win over the Setters, 25-16.
• In set two, AIC took control early and never looked back. A 10-1 rally from the Yellow Jackets was enough to keep Pace away as the second set favored AIC, 25-13.
• In the final set of the day, the Yellow Jackets rode a 10-3 opening run to victory. The Setters managed to shrink the lead but AIC was consistent in their attack taking set three 25-17 and the match.

• Karielys Melendez posted 11 kills and seven digs on the night.

The Blue and Gold claim the fifth seed in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship and will battle No. 4 Adelphi University on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. from Garden City, N.Y.
