NEW HAVEN, CT - Pace Women's Soccer (1-5-3 / 0-2-2 NE10) traveled to New Haven University in Connecticut for a Northeast-10 Conference match up late Wednesday afternoon.
Alexis Lee posted her fourth goal of the season in the event, but the Chargers found the back of the net in a final moment goal to force the 1-1 tie.
Here's What Happened:
- The Setters and the Chargers battled it out through the first 45-minutes of regulation as both teams were left scoreless. Throughout the first half, the two teams were well matched with both keepers tallying two saves apiece and New Haven having one extra shot over the Setters (4-3).
- The first shot and the first goal of the game appeared early in the second frame from Lee who gave the Blue and Gold the 1-0 edge over the hosts.
- Annabella Cole was put to the test in goal when the Chargers shot nine times in the second half, five of them being on goal. Out of the five on goal, one of them was able to sneak into the net on a header with 25-seconds remaining in the night.
- The Setters ultimately tied with the Chargers 1-1 for a 0-2-2 NE10 record.
Box Score Insights:
- Lee was the lone goal scorer of the contest. Ava Viebrock took four shots and put each of them on goal to pace the Setter squad.
- Cole ended up saving six in 90-minutes.

Pace Women's Soccer will return to Northwell Stadium Saturday evening for their senior night event versus Assumption University at 5pm. The Blue and Gold will be honoring 11 of their seniors on their careers representing Pace prior to the start of competition.
