Setters Fall Short against Saint Michael’s on the Road

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Saturday afternoon, Pace women's soccer was defeated 2-1 by Saint Michael's College away from their home turf. The Setters trailed early and managed to cut the deficit to one but ultimately fell after ninety minutes. Following the in-conference loss, the Blue and Gold move to 1-5-2 overall, and 0-2-1 in the Northeast-10 (NE10).

Here's What Happened
  •  On their second shot of the day, the Purple Knights found the twine to snag an early 1-0 advantage just six minutes into the game. Ten minutes after the opening goal, Saint Michael's struck again taking a 2-0 lead over the Setters.
  • Near the 45-minute mark of the first half, Pace capitalized with a goal from Kelly DuBois to shrink the opponent's lead to one goal, 1-2.
  • The Setters registered three shots and two corner kicks in the second half but failed to find the back of the net. The Purple Knights escaped with the victory as Pace dropped their third in-conference game of the year by a final score of 1-2.

  • Dubois tallied her first goal of the 2024 season while Hildur Unnarsdottir recorded her second assist of the year.
  • Ava Viebrock led the Blue and Gold in total shots with seven. As a team, Pace had nine shots compared to Saint Michael's 27.
