Soccer Duo Propel Setters to Victory Over AIC

SPRINGFIELD, MA - Pace Women's Soccer matched up with American International College (AIC) late Saturday afternoon for a Northeast-10 Conference (NE10) contest in Massachusetts.

The Yellowjackets maintained a 1-0 advantage over the Setters for majority of the match, however, a Setter duo propelled the squad to victory with two goals in the span of three-minutes for the 2-1 victory.

Here's What Happened:
  • The hosts, AIC, tallied their lone goal of the day in the 28th-minute to lead the Setters, 1-0, and they would maintain that lead until late into the second half.
  • With the contest reaching under 10-minutes remaining, the blue and gold battled back and had Taylor Moyer post her first goal of the season to equalize the score at one.
  • In the Setters' previous match up with Southern Connecticut State on Oct. 22, Hildur Unnarsdóttir, played a role in the final second goal for the draw. Today versus AIC, the senior recorded an assist when she found Hannah Rautenstrauch for go-ahead goal and the 2-1 victory.
