PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Wednesday night, Pace volleyball fell at home in three sets, 0-3, to Queens College. Following the loss, the Blue and Gold move to 5-5 overall with their first in-conference match-up next week.
Here's What Happened
- The opening set was neck-and-neck until a 6-point run from the visitors. The rally gave Queens a 14-9 lead and they never looked back taking the first set against the Setters, 25-16.
- Set two came down to the final points as Pace mounted a comeback from down four points. After the Setters tied the set at 21, the Knights closed out on a 4-1 run to wrap up a 25-22 win.
- In the final set of the evening, Pace fell behind early after a 6-0 opening run from Queens. The Blue and Gold answered with a 10-4 of their own to bring the set all square at ten.
- Pace snagged a 13-11 advantage midway through the third set, however, the Knights put together a 9-2 run to gain control, 20-15. The Setters fought back but eventually fell in the final set, 20-25.
