PLEASANTVILLE, NY – As the New Year begins the 2024 Pace University Softball season is on the horizon, and head coach Claudia Stabile is eager to share the spring schedule.
Last season, the Setters ended the season with a record of 27-25, and 15-9 in the Northeast 10. All home games for Pace will be hosted at the Pace Softball Field and streamed live on the NE10 NOW Network.
The Blue and Gold kick off the year on Mar. 9 in Petersburg, Va. to take on Virginia State University in a doubleheader. After opening day, Pace continues on the road against Virginia Union University on Mar. 10. Consistent with the 2023 schedule, the Setters will have doubleheaders in all their match-ups.
Following their weekend in Virginia, Pace will head up to Pennsylvania to battle Shippensburg University on Mar. 16 with the first pitch of the doubleheader set for noon. The next day, the Setters end their road trip with a doubleheader against West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
The first home game of 2024 comes against Dominican University of New York on Mar. 21. Next, Pace will clash with D'Youville University (Mar. 22) and the University of Bridgeport (Mar. 24) before venturing back on the road.
Doubleheaders against Saint Michael's College (Mar. 29), Franklin Pierce University (Mar. 30), and Caldwell University (April 4) await the Setters at home after a twin bill against Wilmington University (Del.) on Mar. 26.
Moving into April, Pace travels to Queens College (April 4) for two games before meeting with American International College (April 6) for another doubleheader. They close out the road trip with two in-conference match-ups against The College of Saint Rose (April 7).
On April 9, Pace will host Adelphi University before heading on the road for a doubleheader against Saint Thomas Aquinas College (April 10).
Pace will then host four games at home during the weekend with two against Assumption University (April 13), and the other two versus Bentley University.
A doubleheader on the road versus the College of Staten Island (April 17) comes just before two home games against the University of New Haven (April 19).
Pace will then travel to New Haven to duel Southern Connecticut State (April 21) before returning to Pleasantville for their final two home games of the season for a contest against Molloy University (April 24).
To wrap up the 2024 season, the Setters will finish on the road with two NE10 match-ups versus Saint Anselm College (April 26) and Southern New Hampshire University (April 27). In total, Pace has 50 games (25 doubleheaders) in the 2024 slate and will conclude the season with the Northeast 10 Conference Championships on April 30.
