MANCHESTER, NH -- An action-packed second half between the Saint Anselm Hawks and the Pace University women's soccer teams ended with the Setters suffering a 3-2 loss on Saturday in Manchester.
Pace will stay on the road for its next contest, headed to New Haven for a 7 p.m. meeting with Southern Connecticut State University on Tuesday, Sept. 19.
The second-half opened with a Setters goal.
Allison Carr curled in a left-footed corner kick. The cross found
Ava Viebrock on the back post, who headed home her second goal of the season to take a 1-0 lead in the 50th minute.
Roughly ten minutes later, Riley DiGilio tied the game up for the Hawks after the ball got past a charging
Anna Fiore.
The lead grew to two goals as the Hawks Josie Pecor provided the two goals in four minutes, the 80th and 84th to take a 3-1 lead. A couple minutes the the 3-1 lead was established,
Allison Carr netted her second goal of the year off a corner kick that bended by the Hawks keeper but the Setters would not be able to find the equailzer.
