PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Two members of the No. 2 ranked Pace University women's lacrosse team picked up a pair of awards Monday afternoon, as grad student midfielder Aleya Corretjer (Thiells, N.Y./North Rockland) was named NE10 Player of the Week, while junior midfielder Angelina Porcello (Eastchester, N.Y./Eastchester) took home the conference Defensive Player of the Week award. This is both Corretjer's and Porcello's third weekly conference award this season.

Corretjer had two huge games for the Setters, starting with four goals and three assists in a 20-10 victory over No. 22 ranked University of New Haven. She followed it up with two goals and four assists as Pace defeated No. 14 Bentley University 21-7. On the week, she totaled six goals and seven assists for 13 points, while also adding two ground balls, on caused turnover and one draw control.

Porcello had an equally impressive week, starting with a five-goal, one-assist performance in the New Haven game. Then against Bentley, she had three goals, one assist, 10 draw controls and three caused turnovers. Between the two games, the junior scored eight goals and had two assists, while picking up 11 draw controls, four caused turnovers and four ground balls.

The Pace women's lacrosse team is currently ranked No. 2 in the country and has held that position for three consecutive weeks. The Setters received four first-place votes in the latest poll and have defeated seven ranked opponents this season, with every win being a double-digit margin of victory. Pace returns to the field Saturday, April 15 in a 1 p.m. matchup with NE10 opponent Saint Anselm College.
