SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The No. 11 ranked Pace University men's lacrosse team stayed undefeated, picking up a 12-3 win over American International College Saturday, March 25 in NE10 play.
After an early man-up goal by AIC (2-5, 0-2 NE10), the Setters (6-0, 2-0 NE10) came back to tie it on a goal by sophomore midfielder
Timmy Morrow (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Massapequa) with nine minutes remaining in the first. Pace then took the lead with three minutes left on a goal by senior midfielder
Anthony Caputo (Westbury, N.Y./W.T Clarke), going ahead 2-1 heading into the second.
The visitors went on a tear in the second quarter, outscoring the Yellow Jackets 6-1 to take an 8-2 advantage. Sophomore attack
Daniel Zabbia (Dix Hills, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills West) added two more goals to his team-leading 27 on the year, while freshman midfielder

th goal of the year, and a late score by freshman attack
Declan Landers (Liverpool, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) put the Setters ahead by six goals at the half following a dominant second quarter performance.
Pace continued to pile up the goals in the third, with Landers scoring two more while Zabbia picked up his third of the day. Brown scored his second on the afternoon as well, recording his fourth multi-goal game of the season. It was more of the same in the fourth, with defense being the key on both sides. Neither team scored until the very end of the period, when AIC scored a goal with one second remaining in the game. The Yellow Jackets had six shots on goal in the quarter, with the tandem of freshmen
JJ Quill (Andover, Mass./Andover) and
Jack Kern (Great River, N.Y./East Islip) combining to make five saves. Pace, which allowed its fewest goals in a game this season, ended the day with a 12-3 win in conference play after a strong showing on both ends of the field.
Zabbia and Landers led the charge with three goals each, with Zabbia adding an assist. Brown and Lamoureux each had a pair of goals, and junior midfielder
