ALBANY, N.Y. – Playing in their penultimate game of the regular season, the Pace University women's basketball team dropped a 74-63 contest at the College of Saint Rose on Saturday.
It was a tough opening 20 minutes that ultimately doomed the Setters. Saint Rose used a pair of 22-point quarters to earn a 44-24 lead at halftime.
Pace was led by graduate point guard
Lauren Hackett (Commack, N.Y./St. Anthony's), who tallied a game-high 17 points. She also recorded team-bests of four assists and three steals.
Three other Setters joined Hackett in double figures. Sophomore
Tower Lorde (Saint Michael, Barbados/The St. Michael School) notched 12 points off the bench while
Katumina Mansaray (Ontario, Canada/Cardinal Newman Secondary School/Tilton School) chipped in 11 and
Arianna Stockinger (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Putnam Valley) added 10.
Lorde also finished just one rebound shy of tallying her third double-double of the season.
