Williams, a transfer from Adelphi and AIC, reached the 1,000-point career plateau on Tuesday night with his 11-point performance. He came into the season with 914 points. To date, Williams has scored 89 points as a Setter, putting his career total at 1,003.
At the half, Le Moyne (10-11,7-6 NE10) had gotten out to a 41-22 lead.
In the final minutes of the game, the Setters (14-7. 6-7 NE10) had cut the Dolphins lead to nine, 69-60. With 1:37 left to play a layup by
Marc Dadika (Saddle Brook, N.J./Saint Mary's Rutherford / FDU) made it an eight-point game, 70-62.
The Dolphins went 5-for-6 from the foul line to keep the lead over the Setters and seal up the win.
Up next, Pace will take to the road for two-straight away games in Manchester, N.H. The Setters will play at Southern New Hampshire University on Saturday, Jan. 28 in a 3:30 p.m. tip. On Wednesday, Feb. 1, Pace will return to Manchester to play against Saint Anselm at 7:30 p.m.
