PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - After sensational performances last week,
Georgette Cosentino (Scarsdale, N.Y./The Ursuline School) of the Pace University volleyball team and
Nasier Givens (Newark, N.J./Orange) of the Setters' football team have been selected as Setters of the Week, for the week ending Sept. 18, 2022.
Cosentino was once again the Setters' offensive catalyst across their three matches last week. The sophomore averaged nearly 10 assists per set while also chipping 32 total digs and six blocks. Cosentino was especially impressive when she dished out 51 assists in Pace's 3-1 win over Goldey-Beacom on Saturday. Cosentino currently ranks fourth in the NE10 in assists per set this season.
Givens led a dominant Setters' defense during their 27-7 win at Southern Connecticut State on Friday night. The graduate student racked up a pair of sacks, in addition to a team-high nine tackles and five tackles-for-loss. He also forced a pair of fumbles. Givens currently leads the entire NE10 in both tackles-for-loss and forced fumbles this season.
