PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – All six Pace University fall sports programs will compete in a jam-packed weekend of action. Field hockey is at home, as is volleyball for a Saturday doubleheader, while women's soccer, football, and men's and women's cross country are on the road.
FIELD HOCKEY
The Blue and Gold field hockey team competes in its final non-conference game when Bloomsburg visits Finnerty Field on Friday afternoon. It will be Pace's second straight home game in a three-day stretch with a PSAC opponent.
In their last action, the Setters lost to East Stroudsburg in their home opener on Tuesday, 5-0, while Bloomsburg defeated New Haven, 3-0, last Friday. Both teams enter the contest with matching 2-2 records.
Despite Pace's loss to the Warriors, the final score would have been far worse had not freshman goalkeeper
Alina Buerger (Königs Wusterhausen, Brandenburg, Germany/Friedrich-Schiller-Gymnasium) set a school record with 18 saves in the game.
