PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Playing for the first time at home this season, the Pace University field hockey team was dealt a 5-0 loss to No. 3 East Stroudsburg on Tuesday afternoon.

Despite falling to the highly ranked Warriors, it was a record-setting day for Pace goalkeeper
Alina Buerger (Königs Wusterhausen, Brandenburg, Germany/Friedrich-Schiller-Gymnasium). The freshman from Germany racked up 18 saves in net—setting a new single-game program high.

It was an evenly distributed effort for Buerger, who tallied nine stops in each half of action.

The Setters put seven shots of their own on net as ESU goalkeeper Amy Supey notched her fourth shutout of the season.

Five different goal-scorers led the way for the Warriors. East Stroudsburg is now 4-0 this season, defeating opponents by a total of 16-0.
