PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Capping off a stretch of seven straight road matches to begin their season, the Pace University volleyball team dropped a five-setter (23-25, 25-22, 21-25, 25-21, 5-15) at Chestnut Hill College on Saturday.

A sensational day from senior
Brielle Jones (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Palm Beach Gardens) led the way for the Blue and Gold in their second five-set defeat this season. The Florida native went off for 22 kills off a red-hot .340 hitting percentage.Â

Jones also chipped in a pair of services aces and three block-assists.Â

Junior
Madisen Lupica (Buchanon, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) joined Jones in double figures with 10 kills, while sophomore
Georgette Cosentino (Scarsdale, N.Y./The Ursuline School) dished out a team-high 41 assists.Â

Cosentino also tied with senior
Jamie Bittiger (Saylorsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) for the team lead in digs (12). Cosentino has now put together five double-doubles so far this season (team best).Â

Also on the defensive front, graduate student
Chelsey James (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) posted a team-best six block-assists. James leads the Setters in that department this season with 21.0 total blocks.Â
