EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Seeing their first action of the 2022 season, the Pace University volleyball team dropped matches to East Stroudsburg University (25-20, 25-13, 25-13) and Caldwell University (15-25, 26-24, 21-25, 25-20, 12-15) on Friday.
A trio of Setters each racked up 16 kills across the two matches to lead the Pace offense. Senior
Brielle Jones (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Palm Beach Gardens) was one of those providers while also notching 10 digs against ESU to pick up her second career double-double.
Sophomore
Daniella Abbastante (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) and junior
Madisen Lupica (Buchanon, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) also totaled 16 put-aways while tallying respective hitting percentages of .214 and .184. Abbastante also added a team-best five blocks.
Sophomore
Georgette Cosentino (Scarsdale, N.Y./The Ursuline School) served as Pace's best all-around player on Friday as she earned a pair of double-doubles with totals of 57 assists and 23 digs.
