Four Setters Named NE10 Academic All-Conference for Winter Season

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Following stellar performances both in and out of competition this past winter, four Pace University student-athletes have earned Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference recognition for 2021-22.

Seniors Amy Calandro (Eastchester, N.Y./Eastchester) and Patrick Dwyer (Tomkins Cove, N.Y./North Rockland) of the Pace University swimming and diving team, along with graduate student Lauren Schetter (Beacon, N.Y./Beacon High School) and junior Bryan Powell (Middletown, N.Y./Canterbury School) of the Pace Basketball squads were all selected to NE10 Academic All-Conference teams.

Amy Calandro (Eastchester, N.Y./Eastchester) | 3.5 GPA | Public Accounting

Earned silver at the NE10 Championships in the three-meter dive (352.10)
Finished fifth at the NE10 Championships in the one-meter dive (340.30)
Named NE10 Diver of the Week on Nov. 12
Has earned recognition on all seven of the NE10's Academic Honor Rolls

Patrick Dwyer (Tomkins Cove, N.Y./North Rockland) | 3.4 GPA | Computer Science

Earned the bronze medal in the one-meter dive at the NE10 Championships (427.30)
Also took home the bronze in the three-meter dive at the NE10 Championships (444.45)
Registered NCAA qualifying scores in both the one-meter and three-meter events
Has medaled in every diving event of career at NE10 Championships
Named 11 times as the NE10's Diver of the Week
Has made the NE10's Academic Honor Roll following each of his seven semesters

Bryan Powell (Middletown, N.Y./Canterbury School) | 3.58 GPA | Finance

Led the Setters with 14.9 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game
Helped Pace to NE10 Southwest Division regular-season championship and berth into the 2022 NCAA Tournament
Ranked fourth in the NE10 in field-goal percentage (54.9%) and sixth in blocks per game (1.1)
Named to NE10 All-Conference First Team
Selected to CoSIDA's Academic All-District Team
Has made all five NE10 Academic Honor Rolls
Named to NABC's Honors Court in 2020-21

Lauren Schetter (Beacon, N.Y./Beacon High School) | 3.73 GPA | Human Resource Management

Led the Setters to the NCAA East Regional championship and appearance in the NCAA Elite Eight
Averaged 19.5 points (2nd in NE10), 7.8 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game
Ranked fourth in NE10 in field-goal percentage (48.4%)
Led team to NE10 Southwest Division regular season championship
Named All-America Honorable Mention by the WBCA
Selected to the NE10 All-Conference First Team
Named to D2CCA All-Region First Team
Tabbed to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team
Named Most Outstanding Player of 2022 NCAA East Regional
