PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Currently one of the hottest squads in the region, the Pace University softball team swept a doubleheader against Molloy College on Wednesday. The Setters, who have now won 12 of their last 13 games, are sitting with an overall record of 17-8. 
 
Game One – Pace 3, Molloy 1
Gisselle Garcia's (Lemon Grove, Calif. /Mater Dei Catholic) seventh straight complete game led the way in the opener. The rookie right-hander allowed just the lone run with seven strikeouts across seven innings. 
 
Garcia, who is now 10-3 this season, currently holds a 1.43 ERA across 93.0 innings pitched. The California native has yielded one of fewer runs in eight of her 13 outings this year. 
The Setters jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning before tacking on an insurance tally in the fifth. 
 
Alexa Borino (Lyndhurst, N.J./Lyndhurst) tripled in the Setters' first run while 
Alexandra Tejeda (Diamond Bar, Calif./Diamond Bar) hammered an RBI double in the fifth inning. 
 
Freshman 
Brianna Shea (Oceanside, Calif./El Camino ) also plated a run with an RBI ground out in the first inning.
 
Borino and 
Zoie Iverson (Oregon City, Ore./Alliance Charter Academy/ Oregon City High School) each led the way with two hits in the opening contest.
 
Game Two – Pace 8, Molloy 2
Iverson followed up her 2-for-3 effort in Game One with a monstrous performance in the finale. The Oregon native broke open a scoreless tie with a grand slam in the fourth inning.
 
Iverson also doubled in two more runs in the sixth to put Pace up 6-1. She finished the two wins on Tuesday 4-for-6 with six RBIs and a run scored.
 
Borino also continued her great opener with a 3-for-4 effort in the second win of the day. The New Jersey native capped off the Setters' scoring with a two-RBI double in the sixth inning.  
In the circle, it was another great outing from 
Anna Acevedo (Brooklyn, N.Y./Fontbonne Hall Academy). The sophomore twirled her second straight complete-game victory, allowing just the two runs in seven innings.
