No. 16 Pace Women's Lacrosse Defeats STAC, 20-7

SPARKILL, N.Y. – Playing a road contest for the first time this spring, the Pace University women's lacrosse team recorded a 20-7 win at Saint Thomas Aquinas College on Wednesday. The triumph improves the Setters' record to 3-0 this season.

It was a dominant first half that paved the way for Pace. The Blue and Gold scored 14 of their 20 tallies in the opening 30 minutes as they led by 10 goals at the break.

Individually, it was Pace's duo of Angelina Porcello (Eastchester, NY/Eastchester) and Aleya Corretjer (Thiells, N.Y./North Rockland), who led the way.

Porcello racked up six points off five goals and an assist, while Aleya Corretjer (Thiells, N.Y./North Rockland) recorded a game-high seven points on three goals and four assists.

Junior Sydney Juvelier (Centereach, N.Y./Centereach) also notched a hat trick, while Jolie Urraro (Sayville, N.Y./Connetquot) and Kayla Conway (Wantagh, N.Y./Wantagh) each put in a pair of goals.

All in all, nine different Setters found the back of the net on Wednesday. Senior Isabella Piccola (Huntington, N.Y./Huntington) put in one of those goals, while also matching Corretjer's four assists.

Junior goalkeeper Sienna Masullo (Mount Sinai, N.Y./Mount Sinai School District) earned the win in net after allowing just four tallies across 30 minutes of action.

The Setters have outscored their first three opponents this season by a 54-18 margin.
