WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – On their final day in Florida, the Pace University softball team (5-3) tallied a third straight doubleheader split. The Setters defeated Minnesota Crookston, 6-3, following a 3-0 loss to Caldwell.

Game Two – Pace 6, Minnesota Crookston 3
Trailing 3-2 with just six outs remaining, the Setters rallied nicely in the final two innings.

A Brianna Shea (Oceanside, Calif./El Camino ) RBI double tied the game in the sixth while a sac fly off the bat from Jenny Gordon (Colonia, N.J./John F. Kennedy Memorial) put the Setters ahead.

Pace tacked on two more insurance runs in the seventh thanks to an RBI double from Alexandra Tejeda (Diamond Bar, Calif./Diamond Bar) that scored Jade Alvarado (West Covina, Calif./South Hills) and Gwen Pederson (Sylmar, Calif./Granada Hills Charter)

Speaking of Pederson, she knocked in the Setters' first two runs with a double to right-center in the second inning. Sammi Swenson (Smithtown, N.Y./Smithtown East) and NancyAnn Revilla (Staten Island, N.Y./Port Richmond) each scored on the play.
