WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – On their final day in Florida, the Pace University softball team (5-3) tallied a third straight doubleheader split. The Setters defeated Minnesota Crookston, 6-3, following a 3-0 loss to Caldwell.

Trailing 3-2 with just six outs remaining, the Setters rallied nicely in the final two innings.

Brianna Shea (Oceanside, Calif./El Camino ) RBI double tied the game in the sixth while a sac fly off the bat from
Jenny Gordon (Colonia, N.J./John F. Kennedy Memorial) put the Setters ahead.
Pace tacked on two more insurance runs in the seventh thanks to an RBI double from
Alexandra Tejeda (Diamond Bar, Calif./Diamond Bar) that scored
Jade Alvarado (West Covina, Calif./South Hills) and
Gwen Pederson (Sylmar, Calif./Granada Hills Charter).
Speaking of Pederson, she knocked in the Setters' first two runs with a double to right-center in the second inning.
Sammi Swenson (Smithtown, N.Y./Smithtown East) and
NancyAnn Revilla (Staten Island, N.Y./Port Richmond) each scored on the play.
Revilla finished the first contest with two runs scored, a single and a walk.
Sophomore
Anna Acevedo (Brooklyn, N.Y./Fontbonne Hall Academy) was triumphant in the circle. The Brooklyn native allowed just three earned runs and four hits in a complete-game effort.

Freshman
Gisselle Garcia (Lemon Grove, Calif. /Mater Dei Catholic) pitched well in a losing effort in the first game of the day. The right-hander allowed just two earned runs, while striking out eight, across seven innings of work.
Garcia completes her Florida trip with an ERA of 1.40 in 30.0 frames. She has also totaled 30 strikeouts compared to just eight walks.
Pace's offense was only able to string together four singles against Caldwell's Kayla Daly.
