WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Coming off a pair of wins on Monday, the Pace University softball team split a doubleheader on Tuesday in Florida. The Setters' 1-1 day moves their record to 3-1 this season.

Game One – Pace 3, Shepherd 2
It was a dramatic triumph in the opener as Pace walked off against the Rams. After reaching base on a fielder's choice, junior
Gwen Pederson (Sylmar, Calif./Granada Hills Charter) eventually made her way to third base before scoring the game-winning run on a passed ball with the bases loaded.

Freshman
Gisselle Garcia (Lemon Grove, Calif. /Mater Dei Catholic) once again put together a strong outing in the circle. The right-hander improved to 2-0 this season after allowing just two earned runs and striking out six in seven innings.

Pederson served as Pace's top offensive performer with a 2-for-4 effort while
Arianna Guarracino (Middletown, NY/Minisink Valley) recorded an RBI single in the fourth inning.

Game Two – Felician 2, Pace 1
The Setters enjoyed another nice pitching outing in the second game of the day, but it wasn't enough against Felician.

Sophomore
Anna Acevedo (Brooklyn, N.Y./Fontbonne Hall Academy) yielded just two runs across six innings in her first start of the season. She scattered seven hits and struck out three.

Senior
Zoie Iverson (Oregon City, Ore./Alliance Charter Academy/ Oregon City High School) registered two of Pace's four hits in the game, including an RBI single in the top of the first inning.

Freshman
Alexa Borino (Lyndhurst, N.J./Lyndhurst) also performed well at the dish, going 1-for-2 with a walk.
