PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – In the final game of the regular-season, on Senior Night, the Pace University women's basketball team defeated Le Moyne College inside the Goldstein Fitness Center, 73-62, to claim a share of the Southwest Division title for the first time in program history.

The Setters' 20-6 overall record signifies the first time in exactly a decade since their last 20-win season, and their 14-5 mark within the conference is tied for the second best in NE10 play.

The victory also means the Blue and Gold head into the postseason an undefeated 13-0 at the Goldstein Fitness Center. They are the only team in the entire conference not to lose on their home court.

All season long it was the defense that paved the way for the Setters' success, and the season-finale was no exception. Pace held the Dolphins to 18-of-62 from the field (29.0%), including 5-of-17 from three (29.4%).

Offensively, it was the 11
th time this season that the Setters went for 70+ points in a game, and they were fueled by four double-digit scorers, all of whom were honored during the Senior Night intermission ceremony.

Graduate student
Jasmine White (Huntington, N.Y./St. Anthony's) was a defensive nightmare for Le Moyne in the paint. The Huntington-native finished her final regular-season game in style, grabbing nine rebounds, blocking five shots, dishing out three assists, as well as scoring 14 points on an efficient 6-of-8 shooting, and 2-of-3 from beyond the arc.

Fellow grad student,
Lauren Schetter (Beacon, N.Y./Beacon High School), led the team with 19 points and four steals, and further filled up the stat sheet with eight rebounds, four assists, and two blocks.

Senior
Lauren Hackett (Commack, N.Y./St. Anthony's) also did a little of everything, leading the team with five assists, hauling in five rebounds, and scoring 11 points to boot.

Schetter and Hackett's aggressive play got them to the free-throw line for a combined 17 attempts.

Senior
Kelsey Quain (Ossining, N.Y./Ossining) chipped in 12 points, knocking down a team-high four three-pointers for the Setters.

Pace finishes the season tied with Le Moyne at 14-5 in the conference for a share of the division title. The two teams split the season series, but due to tie-breaking procedures, the Dolphins will receive the automatic first-round bye in the NE10 Championship Tournament.

The Setters will be the Southwest No. 2 seed in the single-elimination tournament and will host the Northwest No. 7-seeded Saint Michael's College in the first round on Friday night.

Pace defeated the Purple Knights, 69-65, in their only matchup this season back on Jan. 22.
