NEW HAVEN, Conn. – On Day Two of the 2022 NE10 Championships, it was a trio of individual finalists that led the way for the Pace University men's and women's swimming and diving teams on Friday. Both squads are currently in sixth place, totaling 248 points through 17 events.
Graduate student
Annabel Keppel-Palmer (Kent, England/Maidstone Grammar School) served as the Setters' top performer on Friday night. The England native barely missed out on her 15th career medal with a fourth-place finish in the 200-IM. Keppel-Palmer raced to a time of 2:11.74.
Also on the women's side of things,
Katherine Devaney (Tuckahoe, N.Y./Eastchester) picked up points in the 500-free. The senior Setter posted a 14
th-place finish in a time of 5:24.01.
For the men, it was freshman
Robert Gehman (Reinholds, Pa./Cocalico Senior) leading the way. The Pennsylvania native's mark of 2:06.18 earned him a 12
th-place finish in the 200-IM.
Gehman was also a part of the Blue and Gold's top relay team on Friday. He was joined by
Michael Ferstler (Canton, Mass./Canton),
Samuel Gibson (Nassau, Bahamas/Saint Andrew's), and
Tyler Besnoff (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Township) for a sixth-place finish in the 400-medley relay.
