Pace Women's Basketball Wins at Saint Anselm, Moves Record to 19-5

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Despite facing a halftime deficit on the road, the Pace University women's basketball team earned a 63-56 win at Saint Anselm College on Sunday. The victory pushes the Setters' record to 19-5 this season, including 13-4 in the Northeast-10 Conference.

Trailing by six points at the break, Pace put together a 20-10 run in the third quarter. The Setters limited Saint Anselm to just 2-for-15 shooting in the third while they nabbed a four-point edge after 30 minutes of action.

Pace continued its strong play into the final frame. A 7-0 spurt lifted the road squad to a comfortable double-digit lead with less than three minutes remaining.

Sunday marked the 14th time this season that Pace has allowed less than 60 points in a game. The Setters are 11-3 in those contests.

Pace's offense was led by four players with at least nine points. The Setters were also piloted by a 7-for-14 performance (50%) from three-point range.

Lauren Schetter (Beacon, N.Y./Beacon High School) was once again Pace's top scorer with a team-high 17 points. Schetter has now tallied at least 17 points in 18 of Pace's 24 games this season.

Senior guards Kelsey Quain (Ossining, N.Y./Ossining) and Lauren Hackett (Commack, N.Y./St. Anthony's) were also in double figures with 13- and 12-point efforts. Hackett led the Setters in rebounds as well with seven, in addition to dishing out three assists.

Naya Rivera (Pomona, N.Y./North Rockland) rounded out the Blue and Gold's main scorers with nine points, to go along with five rebounds and two steals.
