PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- On Nov. 29, 2022, Pace University Athletics joined the global movement of
#GivingTuesday, a global day of generosity and giving back during the Holiday season. For Pace Athletics, it represented a day in which alumni, parents, friends, faculty and staff came together to make a difference in the lives of our great student-athletes through financial investments.
Together, Setter Nation generated
600 gifts toward Athletics, which totaled $90,455 for Pace's 15 varsity programs and three support groups at the end of the day. The Athletics Department surpassed its original goal of 450 donors, and the midday stretch goal of 500. With email and mail in gifts still coming in, that number will rise over the next week. Matching funds have yet to be calculated.
As a University, Pace reached 1,204 gifts for more than $417,925 in support of the Pace communities in Pleasantville and in New York City.
The Pace Athletics community has never been more committed to success in the classroom and in competition. The continued support of alumni, family and friends continues to provide the opportunity for student-athletes to reach their goals in teh classroom, in competition, in the community and in life.
Even though
#GivingTuesday has come to an end, the Pace University Athletic Department continues to thrive on the support of donations of all sizes.
