Pace Women's Basketball Falls To Saint Anselm, 61-37

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- The Pace University women's basketball team lost on Tuesday night to Saint Anselm, 61-37, in the first NE10 game played at Goldstein Fitness Center this season. Grad student guard Kelsey Quain (Ossining, N.Y./Ossining) led all Setter scorers with eight points.

Saint Anselm's leading scorer this season, Gabby Turco, netted 22 points as she went 8-for-11 from the field as the Hawks advanced to 2-3 overall and 1-2 in the NE10 this season.

Pace (1-3, 0-1 NE10) outscored Saint Anselm 14-10 in the fourth, but it was too little, too late for the Setters.

Freshman forward Ciara Collins (Bristol, Conn./Bristol Eastern) had a team-high eight rebounds and three steals.

Sophomore forward Tower Lorde (Saint Michael, Barbados/The St. Michael School) had seven points.

Up next, the Pace Setters travel to the College of Staten Island to play the Dolphins on Sunday, Nov. 27. Tip off is slated for 1:30 p.m.
