Rochester, N.Y. -- The Pace women's basketball earned its first win of the season at Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon, 70-55 in the "Redhawks Classic."
Graduate student guard
Lauren Hackett (Commack, N.Y./St. Anthony's) and freshman guard
Morgan Ryan (Plainfield, N.J./Rutgers Prep) paced the Setters with 16 points each. Hackett also added six assists to her stat line, while Ryan recorded six rebounds. Ryan shot 4-for-8 from 3. Hackett earned seven points off free throws (7-for-11).
Rookie forward
Ciara Collins (Bristol, Conn./Bristol Eastern) also scored in the double digits with 13 points (5-for-9). Grad student guard
Kelsey Quain (Ossining, N.Y./Ossining) poured in 11 points going 3-for-9 from beyond the 3-point arc.
The Setters took advantage of 20 points off of turnovers.
Roberts Wesleyan was prominent in the paint, outscoring the Setters, 24-14.
Next up, Pace (1-1, 0-0 NE10) will host Bridgeport on Saturday, Nov. 19 for a 1:30 p.m. tipoff at Goldstein Fitness Center.
