NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Following an extremely tight first set, the Pace University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 match (29-27, 25-16, 25-21) at Southern Connecticut State on Tuesday night.
Senior
Brielle Jones (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Palm Beach Gardens) and
Cydney Gardner (Snellville, Ga./Brookwood) once again led the Setters' offense with a combined 21 kills. Gardner made just one error en route to a team-best .364 hitting percentage.
Georgette Cosentino (Scarsdale, N.Y./The Ursuline School) continued her versatile ways with her 11
th double-double of the season. The sophomore finished the match with a team-high 29 assists, in addition recording 12 digs.
Speaking of digs, senior
Jamie Bittiger (Saylorsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) once again led the Setters with 22 of them.
Also, on the defensive side of things, freshman
Anita Rose Berisha (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./International Academy) posted a pair of solo blocks.
