Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Pace Women's Soccer Defeated by No. 8 Saint Rose, 3-0

ALBANY, N.Y. – The Pace University women's soccer team (2-7-1 NE10, 4-7-4) fell to the undefeated defending Northeast-10 Conference champion No. 8 ranked College of Saint Rose (7-0-3 NE10, 12-0-3), 3-0, on Tuesday night.

The Golden Knights took the lead in the 30th minute when an assist from sophomore Mia Klammer led to a score from graduate student Kaelyn Britt low to the left giving Saint Rose a 1-0 lead at the break.

Sanna Rein magnificently extended the Golden Knight lead six minutes into the second half with a bullet of a free kick high to the right side for the senior's third goal of the season.

14 minutes later, Saint Rose put the game out of reach when Klammer put on the afterburners and chased down a ball that she crossed into the box for another assist, this time to Emelie Kristensen which the freshman put away high to the left for her third score of the season

The Golden Knights boast the top goal-scorer and assist-maker on the season in Britt and Klammer with seven each respectively.

On the heels of a stifling defensive performance, Saint Rose outshot the Setters 18-2 for the game

Pace plays its final road contest and penultimate game of the season on Saturday at Southern New Hampshire (2-2-5 NE10, 5-2-5).
