PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Kicking off Homecoming Weekend on campus, the Pace University volleyball team dropped a four-set match (20-25, 16-25, 25-19, 17-25) to Molloy on Thursday night.
Sophomore
Daniella Abbastante (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) served as a terrific highlight for the Setters in their final non-conference match of the season. The New Jersey native tallied 13 kills on a .478 hitting percentage, in addition to registering five blocks and an assist.
Junior
Cydney Gardner (Snellville, Ga./Brookwood) also reached double figures with 10 kills while senior
Brielle Jones (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Palm Beach Gardens) chipped in seven putaways.
Leading the passing efforts was once again
Georgette Cosentino (Scarsdale, N.Y./The Ursuline School), who posted her 10th double-double of the season courtesy of 37 assists and 17 digs. She also added a kill and an ace in the contest.
Defensively, senior
Jamie Bittiger (Saylorsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) finished just two digs behind Cosentino with 15.
