Women's Basketball Suffers First NE10 Loss at Le Moyne

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Beginning a stretch of 15 straight NE10 contests, the Pace University women's basketball team dropped a 55-41 matchup at Le Moyne College on Wednesday night. The loss puts the Setters' record at 11-2 this season, including 5-1 in the conference.

It was a slow start that stalled the Setters in just their first defeat since early December. Pace scored just six points in the first quarter en route to putting up their lowest point total this season.

The Setters, who made just seven of their first 27 shots from the field, trailed 32-15 at halftime. Pace finished the game with a shooting percentage of 27.3.

Individually, graduate forward Lauren Schetter (Beacon, N.Y./Beacon High School) led the Setters with her 18th career double-double. The NE10's leading scorer finished the contest with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

After Schetter, it was a Pace offense that featured eight different scorers with at least three points. Sophomore Katumina Mansaray (Ontario, Canada/Cardinal Newman Secondary School/Tilton School) posted a solid stat line of six points, seven rebounds, one block and one steal.

Defensively, Naya Rivera (Pomona, N.Y./North Rockland) led the Blue and Gold with three steals and a pair of blocks.
