PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Coming off a heartbreaking first conference loss on Saturday, the Pace University men's basketball team (9-4, 5-1 NE10) returned to their winning ways with a dominant wire-to-wire victory over Assumption University (6-4, 3-4 NE10) on Tuesday night, 83-65.

The Setters never trailed or were tied after the opening tip and built their lead to as high as a 26-point cushion in the second half.

Pace held the Greyhounds to just 37.1% shooting from the field, including 6-for-20 (30%) from downtown. The Setters also put together a 42-30 edge in rebounds.

Pace's smothering defense continues to lead the Notheast-10 Conference in points-per-game allowed (58), opponents' field-goal percentage (35.6%), and opponents' three-point percentage (24.8%).

Meanwhile, the Blue and Gold offense was both efficient and well-balanced, shooting 50% from the field and 40.7% from beyond the arc. Nine Setters scored in the contest, including all five starters in double digits.

Pace just barely missed out on having four players with double-doubles.

Bryan Powell (Middletown, N.Y./Canterbury School) led the team in scoring and rebounds, with 16 points and 11 boards.
Marc Dadika (Saddle Brook, N.J./Saint Mary's Rutherford) also hauled in 11 rebounds, and scored 14 points to boot, going 6-of-7 from the field.

Brandon Jacobs (Cambria Heights, N.Y./Long Island Lutheran) was the main facilitator on the evening, dishing out nine assists to go along with his 14 points.

Austin Gilbertson (Etters, Pa./Trinity) went 3-for-4 on three-point shots, finishing with 11 points and nine rebounds.
