DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – In the first of two matches this weekend to begin the 2021 season, the Pace University volleyball team dropped a four-set contest (14-25, 14-25, 25-22, 14-25) at Mercy College on Friday night.

Junior Brielle Jones (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Palm Beach Gardens) led the Pace offense with a team-best 13 kills. She finished with just four errors for a hitting percentage of .273.

After Jones, the Setters put together a balanced attack with five other players notching multiple kills. Sophomore Stephanie Sicilian (White Plains, N.Y./Valhalla) served as the main distributor, dishing out a team-high 10 assists.

The Setters' defensive efforts were also spread out across numerous players. Eight different members of the Blue and Gold registered at least three digs. Senior Emily Cockell (Springfield, Mo./Kickapoo) led the way in that category with 11.

Also on the defensive side of the ball, junior Moyah Cameron (Mount Vernon, N.Y./Port Chester) posted a team-high three blocks.
