PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Seeing Northeast-10 Conference competition for the first time this season, the Pace University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 match to Southern Connecticut State University on Thursday night.
Junior
Brielle Jones (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Palm Beach Gardens) piloted the Setters' offense with a team-high 15 kills on a season-best .419 hitting percentage. She made just two errors on 31 total attempts.
Four other members of the Blue and Gold finished with at least three kills, while
Leonarda Uljic (Bronx, N.Y./St. Catharine) and
Georgette Cosentino (Scarsdale, N.Y./The Ursuline School) combined for 21 assists.
Defensively,
Emily Cockell (Springfield, Mo./Kickapoo) and
Abby Robertson (Solana Beach, Calif. /Westview) led the way for Pace. Cockell racked up a team-high 11 digs while Robertson registered a pair of solo blocks.
